“stunning and emotionally evocative playing”

—Cherry and Spoon—

Hi, I’m Carson Rose!

Welcome to my studio and make yourself at home!

Based in Minneapolis, MN, I am a collaborative pianist, vocal coach, and music director. At home working with vocalists and instrumentals, I am a versatile pianist comfortable playing a variety of styles and wearing different hats.

In my private coaching and recording studio, I help singers and instrumentalists achieve professional level and quality recordings without stress about the tech logistics that might be holding you back. I handle everything from the set up, piano, and post so you can relax and focus on your artistry. My coaching provide a safe place to play and polish, because it’s challenging coming into our own as artists! I love marrying style with story, and recording is a fantastic tool that can allow us to explore different ways to share our story.

As a music director and performer, I am especially passionate about chamber music, art song and opera, and new works. I love bringing quality classical music to areas that might not have esay access to it and connecting with audiencese in intimate and immersive venues. In addition to a concert series I co-founded in Redwing, MN called Lake Pepin Chamber Music, companies I’ve worked with are Nautilus Music Theatre, Lakes Area Music Festival, Source Song Festival, Lyric Opera of the North, Skylark Opera Theatre, An Opera Theatre, St. Olaf College, University of Minnesota, and more.

Work With Me

I take care of all the logistics so you can relax and sound your very beset.

I believe recording doesn’t have to be a solitary experience! Now offering “Record With a Friend,” especially recommend if you just want to try 1 song/piece.

Coaching

I create a supportive space where singers can explore, experiment, and discover authentic storytelling.

I invite artists into a process of discovery and help them feel supported to take some risks.

Recording

Looking to work with a music director on a project to test it out and get it ready to pitch to a theatre or self-produce?

I have 10+ years experience working with living composers on new music so send me a message with a project proposal to see if I’d be a good fit!

Recital Curation

Are you looking for a collaborative partner to develop a recital experience?

I do everything from the standard recital, to multimedia to a show.

New Works Workshopping

“…pianist and music director Carson Rose Schneider brings out the beauty skillfully as the production's [Eugene Onegin] lone instrumentalist. Even the dance interludes — which feature the opera's most familiar music — capably capture the music's ebullient spirit…”

—Ron Hubbard, Star Tribune
